I started with Move in July 2020. I’ve lost 35kg in that time, and dropped 5 dress sizes, but it’s the things that you can’t see that I’ve gained. I’ve gained confidence, strength, a new respect for my body which was already pretty awesome because it made human beings but now my body amazes me because it can lift pretty heavy things and not break! My relationship with food has improved ten-fold. I’ve learnt that insane balance that always felt unattainable before.


Rach started her strength program in 2021 and I haven’t looked back. By adding 3 dedicated sessions a week to strength training, I’ve gone from struggling to deadlift 95kg less than 12 months ago, like cannot even get it off the ground, to recently achieving a new 1 rep max of 115kg. I’m 40 years old! For me, there’s no comparison to the feeling you get after you deadlift a weight like that, or when you strict press 42.5kg up over your head like it’s no big deal. I feel fitter at 40 than any other age. Strength sessions are fun, focussed on progressive overload and form over all other things. Because of Move and their strength program, I feel strong, I feel confident, I feel like I can actually do anything. I wish I’d found this style of training in my 20s.
